• Back up your data!
• Keep your operating system up to date with all the necessary security patches and updates
• Run anti-virus and anti-spam software and keep it up to date
• Know what applications are running on your computers
• Don't publish your email address or one you don't rely on
• Be careful when opening or responding to emails.  No legitimate company askes for credit card information via email.  Con't give your credit card information or your personal information to any web site you click on from an email; instead go directly to the company's web site directly.
• Don't provide any personal information in a chat room
• Set up strict rules for your business on Internet surfing and program downloading or installation. 
• Monitor employees computer use

Current Programs and Suggestions

We are currently running the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and the new Microsoft Office 2007 programs.  If you use QuickBooks in your business you should be aware that QuickBooks versions prior to the current version 2007 have some compatibility issues with Microsoft Vista and we have discontinued support for QuickBooks versions prior to version 2007.

To read any of the Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel files we may send you that are generated in Office 2007 and you intend to view in an earlier version of Microsoft Office you will need to download a program from Microsoft to open our files in an earlier version of Microsoft Office.  You can obtain this update from Microsoft.  Please see the following link for the Microsoft Office compatibility Pack

An update to Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, SP1 is now being automatically distributed by Microsoft.  Be sure to select the option in Vista for automatic updates to keep your system current.
